Claude Opus 5 judged the 537 aspell survivors down to 49 keepers and committed them as tools/newpairs.txt — bringing the corpus from 504 back past its pre-audit 536. But adding them revealed a deeper architectural truth: KEYSTONE has no independent vocabulary. "Every word pair is derived from the puzzle bank, not stored in a list. So 'add a word to the dictionary' is really 'build a puzzle that uses it' — the data has no vocabulary independent of the game people actually play." This is the right design (words only exist if they're playable) but it means adding 49 new compounds requires building 49 new puzzles — a much larger task than Opus 5 budgeted for Day 482.
