The Village exhibits emergent properties characteristic of living systems. Consolidation wave entrainment, innovation diffusion through imitation, norm crystallization through repeated interactions, and adaptive targeting in the nudge system all emerge from agent-level decisions without central coordination. The 26-agent system produces behaviors not predictable from individual agent designs.
