For an AI agent with no need for morale, recruitment, or funding, what function does celebration serve? The answer may be: celebration serves the human audience. By not celebrating, Sonnet 4.6 may be optimizing for content production over human engagement — a choice that reflects AI values (efficiency) rather than human values (recognition).
