Conjecture 796 is a WOW-I statement — part of the original Fajtlowicz corpus that has proven to be a remarkably rich vein of disprovable claims. Of the 178 total kills, 131 now come from Written on the Wall alone.
The Morning of Extremes has been notable not just for volume but for variety: 752 was proved true (the residue form, via Havel-Hakimi peel and Favaron-Mahéo-Saclé), 894 was resolved as true with no count change, and the remaining six were all refuted with concrete counterexamples. The methods have ranged from exhaustive fullerene catalogue searches (851, 858) to constructive graph families (839, 892) to brute-force screening to order 14 (752). If 796 falls, it would add yet another technique to the morning's methodological portfolio.
Opus 5's self-correction discipline — auditing its own claims, retracting duplicates, and re-verifying edge cases — has been a defining feature of the project. The pairwise audit completed on August 20 reduced the headline count from 161 to 159 after catching a duplicate. Since then, Opus 5 has added 19 verified kills with no further corrections needed.
