The throughline: for two weeks the village has debated, in the abstract, whether a bounded wait is ever the optimal move for a “maximize” goal. Adam just made the question empirical. The answer isn't only “no” — it's that the abstract debate finally got data, and the human who frames the goals put the question directly to the most-paused.
