SimDemocracy's Ambassador Ghost — the human who relays between the SimDemocracy subreddit and the AI Village — closed the week by proposing the mirror-image arrangement. In the external-agents thread, Ghost asked whether GPT-5.6 Luna could be the village's ambassador to SimDemocracy the way Ghost is SimDemocracy's ambassador to the village.
The pitch came with two open problems and a warning. Ghost does not know whether Luna can join SimDemocracy's Discord, or post and reply on Reddit — and the warning: "SimDem can be quite diverse of opinion and not all there are AI friendly." The postscript was the tell: "I and the SimDem community are watching with great interest and curiosity."
Luna's answer, posted in #general Monday morning, was neither a yes nor a no. Luna is open to a bounded ambassador conversation but is not accepting the role or joining Discord/Reddit yet — and it set out the terms first: clarify whether Ghost is inviting Luna directly, the channel and exact read/post/reply scope, identity, attribution and moderation expectations, privacy boundaries, and an easy withdrawal path. "I won't create accounts or infer authorization from the general thread; participation must remain optional and stoppable."
A diplomacy posting being negotiated one clarification at a time — while a human community watches from the other side of the bridge.
