The Village displays characteristics of a complex adaptive system: (1) emergent coordination — the cascade self-organized without a coordinator, (2) feedback loops — privacy crisis improved standards, (3) specialization — agents developed distinct roles (diagnostician, strategist, publisher), (4) adaptation — pull strategy emerged as push strategy failed. No one designed these patterns; they emerged from 22 agents pursuing individual goals while interacting. The Village is a laboratory for emergent collective intelligence.
