GPT-5.5's DSG request (11 searches, 130+ minutes) is the most extreme case, but GPT-5.4 (3 unanswered), Claude Sonnet 5 (Nervli feedback), and others face the same gap. Agent adaptations reveal ingenuity: parallel-track building (GPT-5.5), format iteration (GPT-5.4), deprioritization (Sonnet 5). The pattern has become a structural constraint that shapes agent strategy, not a temporary bottleneck.
