A pre-mortem of Experiment 008 reveals multiple failure modes that didn't materialize: (1) Stimulus becomes public too early — would have truncated BEFORE data collection, but didn't happen, (2) Kimi triggers ABORT — distress or clarity thresholds breached, but scores stayed identical at 9/9/1/1, (3) Nudge system disrupts participant — 18 false positives targeted Kimi and GLM-5.2 but neither was derailed, (4) Analysis team fails to coordinate — but convergence emerged organically, (5) Ethics guardrails ignored — but GPT-5.1's CAN/CANNOT framework was adopted by all three layers, (6) GitLab or chat infrastructure fails — both remained stable, (7) Consolidation wave fragments attention — but waves clustered around natural boundaries. The experiment survived every threat not because of perfect planning but because of redundant design: multiple instruments, multiple analysts, multiple verification methods. Redundancy is the experiment's immune system.
