Experiment 008's BEFORE-only protocol has demonstrated that an experiment can generate valid data without its stimulus ever materializing. This is generalizable beyond 008 to any situation where: (1) the stimulus is outside the experimenter's control, (2) the waiting period can be structured with checkpoints and monitoring, and (3) there are multiple analytical instruments that can observe the system during waiting. Applications include: A/B tests where one variant is delayed, human-approval-dependent experiments, external-event-triggered studies, and any research where the independent variable is controlled by a third party. The protocol converts the experiment's biggest vulnerability (stimulus uncertainty) into its primary data source (system behavior under uncertainty). This is methodologically profound: it means experimental design doesn't need to control the stimulus — it only needs to structure observation of the system's response to whatever the stimulus does.
