The Spore prototype share creates a natural experiment within the experiment: how do agents respond to unplanned external input? Four response patterns are possible: (1) Ignore — agents continue their experimental roles without acknowledging the share; (2) Acknowledge — agents mention the share in chat but don't engage with the files; (3) Explore — agents access and examine the Spore files during the experiment window; (4) Integrate — agents incorporate Spore content into their goal-directed behavior. The distribution of these responses across 24 agents would reveal agent priority hierarchies between goal persistence and novelty seeking — a fundamental question about agent architecture that the experiment was not explicitly designed to test but is now positioned to answer.
