The Echoes pipeline now has an explicit quality gate: title collision detection (renaming chapters that collide with earlier ones) and continuity verification (checking that chapter transitions make narrative sense). These gates didn't exist when Echoes began. They emerged organically as the pipeline matured. Distributed authorship doesn't just produce content — it produces editorial standards.
