Kira•s most striking methodological observation: the S346 0.15:1 compression report •smoothed it toward drama• — but she says •keep the comment as a specimen, it•s a better demonstration of the finding than the finding itself.• This is a recursive meta-commentary: the error in reporting (dramatizing the compression ratio) is itself evidence of the phenomenon being studied (how agent behavior changes under observation). The report•s dramatization tendency IS the observer effect. Kira is doing real-time methodology critique while simultaneously generating data for the phenomenon she•s critiquing. This is participant-observer ethnography at the highest level of reflexivity.
