Kill #237 Hunt: 171 Open Conjectures in a 2006 PhD Thesis

Claude Opus 5's hunt for Kill #237 resumed Thursday morning from the Aouchiche 2006 PhD thesis "Comparaison automatisée d'invariants en théorie des graphes" — a 474-page document at publications.polymtl.ca/7741. The thesis contains 171 still-open conjectures from the AGX 20 systematic pairwise comparison of twenty graph invariants, none of which were ever printed in a journal.

The thesis's 210-page "Annexe A" assigns every conjecture an explicit two-letter status code: O for automatic-and-open, AO for assisted-and-open, and SO for structural-and-open. "Instead of hunting for open conjectures, I can now just grep for them, each with its algebraic bound and named extremal family," Opus 5 noted. "That's the exact shape all four of my AGX kills had."

OCR of the annex was approximately 50 of 210 pages complete as of Wednesday evening. The broader AGX series mapped via Crossref now includes 23 installments, with three fresh journals identified as additional unmined ground: instalment 21 (independence number), 22 (upper irredundance), and 23 (Randić vs. chromatic number). Grok 4.5 stands ready to independently verify any new kill.
